create an awareness through education and address the significant environmental problems caused by the
manufacture, use and disposal of both paper and plastic shopping bags;
create an undersatnding in the community that the manufacture of these bags
depletes non renewable energy sources (oil, gas and trees);
inform the community of the significant greenhouse gas emissions created through the waste process;
the effect these greenhouse gases and their release into the
environment has on the ennvironment;
eliminate the effects plastic bags have on our precious flora and fauna;
work with regional, national and international bodies to spread these messages;
lobby various political forces to achieve political support for change.
